Introduction: DIY Brass Ring

About: I am a 9th grader at hardee senior high school. I enjoy woodworking, using my lathe, building knifes, hunting, fishing, building cool things i think of , and drawing.
A brass ring that I made out of scraps in my shop

Step 1: Cut Out the Piece From Your Deaired Metal

Step 2: Drilling the Holes

Start with a 1/8 drill bit and work your way up to your desired size of the hole

Step 3: Rounding of the Edges

Use a grinder or ,your preferred method to round of the edges. Once the piece is as round as you can get it. Set it up on a lathe and use a file or a metal lathe chisel to true it up.

Step 4: Polishing

Use a fine sand paper to polish tour piece ( i started at 200 grit and worked my way up to 600 grit ) i did this on my lathe, the same set as when i trued up my piece . But you can also hand sand the ring.
