Introduction: DIY Fast and Easy Fruit Smoothie UPDATED
This Instructable will help you burn fat and eliminate bad eating habits. This is a dairy-free and gluten-free smoothie. This is also sugar free. This will fill you up for at least 4 hours. It is easy to make, tastes delicious, and is a wonderful guilt-free alternative. It makes a great substitute for eggs with almost the same amount of protein as an egg, but less cholesterol than an egg. It also makes a great mid-day snack.
Step 1: Gather Items
Ingredients
1 cup water
1/2 frozen banana
3/4-1 cup frozen fruit of your choice (mixed berries work very well)
1 teaspoon flax seed oil
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
2 tablespoons brown rice protein powder (I use vanilla flavored)
1 tablespoon almond butter (could use peanut butter)
Supplies
blender
measuring spoons and cup
Step 2: Substitutes (optional)
This step is optional. You could replace almond butter with peanut butter. You could use frozen cherries instead of mixed berries. One major downside to using frozen cherries instead of mixed berries is that frozen cherries are much more expensive than mixed berries. Just experiment...
Step 3: Put Ingredients in Blender
Add to the blender the following ingredients in this order; water, flax seed oil, ground flax seed, protein powder, frozen banana, frozen fruit of your choice, and almond butter.
Step 4: Blend
Blend until all ingredients are mixed and there are no lumps.
Step 5: Water (optional)
This step is optional. If the smoothie seems to thick add small amounts of water and continue to blend until desired thickness is reached.
Step 6: Pour Into Glass
Pour into a glass of your choice.
Step 7: Enjoy!
Now you can enjoy your gluten free and dairy free fruit smoothie.

Tasted good. It was simple to make and I had everything I needed on hand. I did find it needed almost twice the water though.

That's god to hear! I think the more you blend the less water you need.
