Introduction: DIY Gamebit Screwdriver to Open Nintendo, Gameboy, SNES, N64 & Retro Video Game Consoles
Lately with the retrogaming and vintage video games boom, some people complaint about the fact that Nintendo use some kind of non-standart security screws on their consoles and games like NES, Gameboy, N64, SNES and in consoles like the N64, SNES, Virtual Boy, etc. and it's almost impossible to open them to clean or repair unless you buy a "gamebit" for $4 to $8 usd.
That kind of screw are named "external torx", and come on! they very easy to take! and you can make your own "gamebit".
You just need a cheap new or used thin flat screwdriver that fits in the hole of the screw and an old trusted dremel to make a cut on the flat part and VOILA! Your own nice and durable gamebit!
Forget the plastic pen trick (it breaks in a few uses) or spending money and have to wait days for the mail and make your own gamebit today for cheap. Here's a picture of my gamebits. I own a video games and computers repair shop since 2000 and I make my gamebit screwdrivers since then and I use them almost every day.
