Decade Resistance Substitution Box can create any ressitor value with push of a button, it's like an programmable ressitor in which you can set resistance value where from 1 ohm to 10 Mega ohm .

Step 1: Gathering Parts

1.I used decimal thumb wheel Switches
2.few ressistors to make this resistance substitution box .

1,10,100,1k,10k,100k,1m ohm ressistors

Step 2: Connecting Togather

Each decade part has same value of ressistors so,

To make one part of decade connect ressistors between 1-2,2-3,3-4,4-5,5-6,6-7,7-8,8-9

0 And Common are output of your decade

Now make all decades with different values and connect all in series

Step 3: Conclusions

Any electronics lab mostly needs this resistance box but if you look at the prices for the Commercially avaliable products they range in few hundreds of dollers.

Well, you can build your for 10 $ , get the parts and build your ressistance substitution box .

And all the ressistors you saved using this project might be useful for another project.
