These step-by-step instructions will guide you through the basics of creating a bag tag using Tinkercad and preparing it for 3D printing. It can be a tag for your purse, backpack, or luggage!

Tinkercad is a free web based CAD program: www.tinkercad.com

Step 1: Create Base

1. Drag and drop a shape onto the workplane

2. Scale the shape to about 65mm x 32mm for a rectangular shape. The tag can be relatively any shape, get creative

3. Adjust the height of the shape to 2mm

Step 2: Create Tag Hole

1. Drag and drop a cylinder onto the workplane

2. While selected click hole in the top right corner to turn the cylinder into a hole

3. Scale the hole to about 3mm x 8mm. The height does not matter, as long the hole is greater than the height of you tag base

4. Place the hole at the top of luggage tag. For a more precise alignment try using the align tool located under the adjust menu in the top right corner

5. With the hole and base selected, click the group button in the top right corner. For a shortcut to select all objects on workplane press ctrl+a

You now have a base for a luggage or backpack tag and can get started on customizing your design!
