In this Instructable, I'll show you how to make this spooktacular pumpkin. It doesn't require any carving, so it'll last!

I was inspired to create this after seeing the Snow White Poison Candy apples from Disneyland.

Fun fact: I used glow-in-the-dark paint and it does actually glow! (I just couldn't capture it well on camera) and I especially like how the glitter catches the light.

Step 1: Supplies

For this Halloween creation, you'll need:

A pumpkin
Gold spray paint
White glitter
White acrylic paint
Glow-in-the-dark paint
Mod Podge

and...a

Cup
Hot glue gun
Pen
Paint brush

Step 2: Gold Glisten

First, choose which side will be the front of the pumpkin. Then, using the gold spray paint, spray a small portion, covering it in gold. Leave it to dry for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Create an Oozing Concoction

While the spray paint is drying, mix up the oozing concoction.

Unfortunately, I don't have exact measurements for this step. In the spirit of Halloween and potions, this was an experiment.

Combine some of the Mod Podge, white acrylic paint, & glow-in-the-dark paint in a cup. Give it a stir. Then, add some of the white glitter and stir it again.

If the mixture seems too liquidy, add more glitter. If it seems too thick to do much oozing, add more of the liquids.

Step 4: Outline the Eyes & Nose

Place your pumpkin on your work surface. Use a pen to draw two circles for the eyes and a jellybean shape for the nose. If you make a mistake don't worry. Use a little liquid to wipe it away, or cover it up later with paint.

Then, take your hot glue gun and cover the pen markings with a layer of hot glue. This raised portion will make sure the eyes and nose of the skull don't get covered as the liquid does its oozing.

Step 5: Pour Carefully & Paint

Slowly pour some of the mixture around the top of the pumpkin. Be careful that you don't pour it too quickly. Use your paint brush to guide the liquid as it moves down the face of the pumpkin. Be careful that it doesn't flow over the eyes and nose.

As you see fit, dip your paint brush into the mixture and place it in empty spaces along the face of the pumpkin.

Step 6: Time for Touch-ups

Once the skull design is complete, use the leftover liquid to do touch ups. For example, cover the hot glue outlines of the eyes and nose, so that they completely blend in with the rest of the skull. Let it dry.

I love how the glitter sparkles in the light!
