Introduction: EBot Light Following Robot

About: Circuitry Brains is a group of young scientists working together for your satisfaction

The Light following robot is made with some simple components and it can have a great impact on very dark places. Let's see how to make it now!

Step 1: Gather the Materials

The materials used in this project was:

  • Ebot8 microcontroller
  • Female-Female Jumper Cables
  • Light sensors
  • Wheels
  • EBot Blocky (Software)
  • Chassis (Lego){Optional}
  • Programming Cable

Step 2: Debugging

Now to make sure our light sensors are working perfectly we need to debug it which means to identify and remove errors from (computer hardware or software).

  • Open up your EBot Blocky app on your computer.
  • Select Input Readings/Debug.
  • Select from the drop down list- 'Light Sensor' and also select the pin in which your first light Sensor is fitted upon.

P.S. you can only check one sensor at a time.

  • Click 'Debug'.
  • After the downloading is complete.

Step 3: Let's Assemble

We made the base in such a way that the Light Sensors have enough space for light to enter. Next, we made another layer for the microcontroller to sit upon and in the middle we adjusted it with some batteries.

The wiring is too easy for this. Hence we simply can finish that off too.

Step 4: Coding

This time let's start with coding.

  1. Launch your Ebot Blockly app on your computer.
  2. Now you can copy the blocks from the above image.
  3. Or; you can simply copy & paste our code from here at the bottom.
  4. After you have done coding. Let's get on with now making it!

Sorry for the delay, but there has been a problem trying uploading the code. We will try to upload the Code as soon as possible.

Step 5: A Small Demo

Well, It all comes to an end. Hope you liked our project and if you have any doubts, feel free to ask in the comments section.
