Step 1: Prep Pudding and Pie Crust

Prepare the two boxes of instant pudding in advance and store separately. Roll out the pie crust, then, using the glass container as a guide, cut out rectangles of dough that will serve as the lasagna noodles. In the pictures, the rectangles were cut a little small, so be sure to add about an inch all the way around the edges of the container for shrinkage. Place the crust pieces on a baking sheet and bake according to instructions. For ours we baked them at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for ten minutes.

Step 2: Start Layering

Place one of the crust rectangles in the bottom of the container. As you can see from the pictures, we just added some extra crust to make up for the shrinkage.

Cover the crust with a layer of chocolate fudge pudding about 1/2" thick. This can be tricky to do evenly, but with a good silicon spatula, it is less so.

Step 3: Next Layer

Top the chocolate fudge pudding with a 1/2" thick layer of whipped topping, then cover with another crust rectangle (and spacer pieces if it shrank like ours did).

Step 4: Repeat

Repeat the process with the chocolate pudding, finally ending up with whipped topping on top. Decorate with a few drizzles of chocolate syrup.

Chill the Easy Chocolate Lasagna in the refrigerator for 20 minutes and serve!
