Spears have been survival weapons for over 4000 thousand years. Hunting massive animals like bears and even smaller animals like opossums. Today, spears can be still used and very easily made. Above is a video by Blake Alma, host of The Outdoorsman's Art Radio Show, showing you how to construct an easy survival spear.

Step 1: Materials

You'll need:

A sharp knife
A straight branch about 4 to 6 feet long
Orange duct tape

Step 2: Making the Spear

Take your knife and place it on one end of the branch. Using your orange duct tape, attach the knife onto the stick. Wrap the tape around at least 10 times.

Simple and easy as that...you have yourself an easy, nifty survival spear.
