Introduction: Five Easy Steps to Creating a No Sew Fleece Blanket

Materials Needed
2 ½ Yards Print Fleece
2 ½ Yards Solid Matching Fleece
Sharp Scissors
Ruler

Step 1: Line Up the Two Fabrics

Choose a print and a matching solid fleece. Lay the two pieces of fleece out so that the most appealing side of each fleece is on the outside (which will become the outside of the blanket when completed).

Step 2: Trim to the Same Size

Trim the two pieces of fabric so they are the same size.

Step 3: Cutting the Corners

Using a ruler, cut out a 4 by 4 inch square from each of the four corners.

Step 4: Cut the Fringe

Starting at the corners and working your way all around the blanket, use a ruler and cut slits around the edges of the fabric that measure 4 inches deep and 1 inch wide. Make sure to cut through both layers of fleece at one time. The slits being cut in this step are known as the "fringe".

Step 5: Tie the Knots

Cutting through both layers of fleece in Step 5 will make the fringe be in pairs. Knot each pair in an overhand knot (keep the two pieces of fleece together and wrap them around your finger forming a loop. Then pass the ends through the loop you made, pulling tight close to the actual blanket). Finish knotting each of the pairs all the way around and your blanket is finished.
