Question 1 year ago on Step 4

In your video you use a short jumper set for connecting the sensor to the Pi. What is the longest cable length you have tested with? I am building a furnace flame sensor for fuel use monitoring and my Pi, which has other functions it performs is about 30' away. I am considering using Cat5 (LAN) cable and a pair of wires for each connection. Does your testing data suggest that would not work? I assume a pull-up resistor on the D0 pin would not be required?
