I made a flip book drawing animation because I thought it was a creative craft that was somewhat easy to create and could obtain an interesting outcome that could tell a story through the motion depicted in the drawings that could transmit significant ideas.

Supplies

Writing utensil of selected color/colors (I utilized 2 gel pens, a black and a red)
Paper attached that can be flipped (minimum 50 papers - sticky notes, notepad, etc)

Step 1: Gather Materials, Begin Drawing

To begin the creation of your animation, gather the sticky notes or other type of paper you are using and a writing utensil. If you want your animation to contain color, use writing utensils of the colors you would prefer. Complete the first drawing of choice where something is going to be in motion on the bottom paper (the last paper) in the right bottom corner of the paper, and make sure it can flip.

Step 2: Continue Drawing

Once you have the first drawing, flip the page while looking at the silhouette of the previous drawing and start tracing it with a little bit of a difference, according to the motion you would like to include. Once you are done with the drawing, flip the page onto the next frame and complete the same steps, further developing the motion. For example, if drawing an animation of a ball moving to the right, keep moving the ball slightly to the right through the drawings to represent motion.

Step 3: Finish the Drawings, and Flip!

Once you get to the top page of the stack, finish the last drawing with the final frame, therefore completing or ending the motion. Flip the pages in a fast motion from last to first using your fingers and enjoy the flip book!
