Introduction: Floral Wreath Ring

About: A crafter and flower arranger from the UK

I decided to make a wreath to lay on my Grandparent's grave with all kinds of flowers, foliage and varying colours. It's a fairly simple process which can take as little as an hour to complete.

Step 1: Tools and Materials

Tools

- Secateurs

Materials

- 10 inch Oasis wreath ring

- 5 Pink Roses

- 5 Cream Roses

- 3 stems of spray Carnations

- 3 stems of Crysanthemums

- 1 stem of Gypsophila (Babys-Breath)

- Handful of Hebe cuttings

- Handful of Eucalyptus cuttings

- Handful of Conifer cuttings

Step 2: Wetting the Ring and Adding Foliage

First of all I wet the wreath to give the flowers some water.

Secondly I added the conifer all around the outside and inside of the wreath ring by pushing it into the Oasis, trying not to leave any gaps. Then I added a generous amount of Hebe, Conifer and Eucalyptus over the rest of the wreath.

Step 3: Adding the 5 Pink Roses

I added 5 pink Roses leaving about 2 1/2 inches on the stem, placing them evenly around the top of the ring and making sure to push them into the Oasis. I often use an odd number as its more pleasing to the eye.

Step 4: Placing the Carnations

I pushed the Spray Carnations into the Oasis around the edge of the wreath ring slowly working towards the centre of the wreath ring, making a nice even coverage.

Step 5: Adding the 5 Cream Roses

I cut the stems on the Cream Roses to 2 inches and pushed them into the top of the wreath ring, spacing them evenly and so that they were slightly lower than the pink roses.

Step 6: Placing the Crysanthemums

I pushed the Crysanthemums evenly all around the wreath ring, similar to the previous step.

Step 7: Fill in With Gypsophila

I pushed in the Gypsophila to fill in any gaps I could find making sure to place them evenly around the ring.

Step 8: The Final Result

The flower arrangement is a pretty simple process and can be modified to suit your needs and tastes. For example you could use a different size wreath ring, different flowers, colours and foliage.
