Introduction: Focaccia Sandwich
Focaccia is an Italian bread which has a somewhat similar texture to pizza. Focaccia is a delicious bread and you can use different ingredients of your choice on it. I used my bread in a sandwich recipe.
• 250 g Flour
• 162 g water
• 1 tablespoon dry yeast \ fresh yeast
• 25 g olive oil
• 1 teaspoon rosemary
• 1 teaspoon dry thyme
• 1 teaspoon dry basil
• Smoked Turkey Breast
• American cheese / Mozzarella
You can be creative for the inside.
Step 1: Step 1: Knead the Dough
Dissolve the yeast in water. Then put half of the olive oil to the mix. Add salt and flour. Knead the whole mix, you can use a spatula. After that add the spices and mix.
Step 2: Step 2: Fermentation
Cover the top of the bowl with a plastic wrap. Then wait for 35-40 min for fermentation.
Step 3: Step 3: Baking
Oil the ovenware. Spread the dough. Shape the dough with your fingertips, like in the photo. Put some water into bowl which is resistant to heat, put it into oven. Heat oven up to 370 degrees Fahrenheit(190 degree Celsius). Bake 35-40 mins.
Step 4: Final Step
After Focaccia is baked, grab the brush and brush the top with the rest of the olive oil. Cut into rectangle pieces. Finally cut your pieces into halves for your sandwiches. Put the ham, cheese and turkey breast inside. Bon Appetit.
