Using an empty meeting room, the senior staff here at Viking Direct recruited a secret group of employees to build a Westeros-inspired space, as a way of saying thank you for all of the company’s recent hard work.

The formerly neglected meeting room has been transformed into a recreational games room for the team, kitted out with a darts board and ping pong table. The room features lots of references to the show, including a three-eyed raven, golden dragon eggs, and even Ned’s head.

Step 1: The Room Started Off Looking Like This:

Step 2: We Started by Designing 20 Acetate ‘stained Glass’ Windows:

Depicting key moments from the fantasy phenomenon, the windows were individually made to measure, and printed on acetate to create the stained glass effect. They were then easily secured in place using sellotape. Including the lower sections of the windows, we had 60 panels to go up. The windows looked great at dusk.

Step 3: We Even Created Our Own Iron Throne:

We cut and made 72 cardboard swords to construct an incredible cardboard Iron Throne, and any leftovers were used to populate the armoury.

Step 4: The Room Features Lots of References to the Show:

Using over 2,500 push pins, we made three golden dragon eggs. The room also housed our very own three-eyed raven, poison wine and even Ned's head.

Step 5: The New Recreational Space Was a Huge Success:
