Introduction: Gas Leakage and Human Detection for Chemical Industries

This project is for ensure safety of workers in chemical industries . This project is based on PIR and MQ2 gas sensor. its give us an alert on gas spreading and human presence in that gas leaked building . So lets get started ....

Step 1: CONNECTIONS

1) MQ2 GAS SENSOR SIGNAL PIN ==== ARDUINO ANALOG PIN A5

2) PIR SENSOR SIGNAL PIN ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D7

3) BUZZER +VE ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D8

4) LED4 ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D9

5) LED3 ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D10

6) LED2 ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D11

7) LED1 ==== ARDUINO DIGITAL D12

8) ALL PINS VCC AND GROUND TO +5V AND GROUND

Step 2: The Power Supply

the power to PIR LEDS BUZZER AND GAS SENSOR is taken from arduino. For making it easier we use a breadboard. The +5v and ground of arduino is connected to the + & - rail of breadboard. Then the Vcc(5V) for PIR and gas sensor is taken from +ve rail of breadboard. The cathode of all led ,-ve of buzzer and ground(GND) of all PIR and gas sensor is connected to -ve rail of breadboard.

Step 3: The PIR

The PIR is a 4 terminal module consist of 5v, GND,digital output(Do) and analog output(Ao).We only connect (Do)

Or (Ao) in this project. I use (Do) for taking output. So (Do) is connected to digitalpin 7 (D7) of arduino.

    For me this part is not working, is there any changes I want to do in circuit dgm?

    this part is work only when both sensor get a high signal.

    ie, if there is the presence of gas the program check the next condition by taking the signal from pir.



    this is because , we need pir work only when there is a gas leakage .
