Introduction: Getting Started With IPad Pro

Congratulations! Your iPad Pro is here, and we can understand that you can’t wait to get started. But it is new and possibly a bit confusing, especially if you're a first time user. Also, you need to handle it with care. So how do you go ahead with it? Well, that's what we are here for!

This article will help you get started and also make you familiar with the entire structure and technicalities of the product. So what are you waiting for? Get, set, enjoy!

We hope you've already unboxed your iPad Pro. Obviously, it is such a beauty, and you sure don’t want to take your hands off it. But wait, let’s first go through everything that is packed inside the box. These are the items you will find inside the packaging:

  • 1 x iPad Pro 1 x Lightning USB cable
  • 1 x USB Power Adaptor
  • 1 x Mains Plug Adaptor
  • 1 x Information pack
  • 1 x SIM removal tool (With 4G Models)

Obviously, contents will vary according to the model, but you'll get more or less the same things. Now let’s move on to how to assemble the device. Well, if you have bought the Wi-Fi model then you can start using it right away. There is nothing to assemble in there whatsoever. But if your model requires a sim card, then there are few little things that you need to do.

If you have bought the 4G model, you would want to start the device by inserting the Micro-Sim card first. Check the box for contents, and you should find a small envelope containing documents, attached to which there would be a small metal ring with a spike on- this is a sim removal tool and is also used to eject the sim card tray.

Now, face the iPad screen towards you and look at the lower right edge of the tablet. You will see a small hole there. Now place the iPad screen up on a soft surface and press the pin of the sim removal tool into this hole. Once you do it, a small tray will pop out. Remove it using your fingers and place the sim card with the gold-coloured contacts facing down, on it. You are ready to go!

Step 4: Use FaceTime to Stay in Touch With Friends and Family

Apple’s video and audio calling service, FaceTime, is pretty cool and it looks even cooler on an iPad. It is bigger and more life-like! It is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and you can call anyone who's using any of these devices. It is an exclusive Apple to Apple service, which helps you stay in touch with your loved ones on the go.

And not just photos and your hand-drawn sketches. You can also embed videos, audio files, locations, web links and documents in your note, which means that you don’t need to open many different apps to understand and analyse your note.
