Ginger Prawn is a great appetizer that you may have had in any restaurants or not. But now impress your guests or yourself by making the most delicious ginger prawn recipe at home. It has mild sweetness from sweet chillies along with a punch of lot of ginger. Truly divine.

Step 1: ​Ingredients

  1. Marinade: 350gm Prawn
  2. Salt and pepper to taste
  3. Batter: 1/2 cup cornstarch/ cornflour
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 tsp soy sauce
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 1/2 tsp garlic & ginger chopped/paste
  8. 2 green chilies chopped
  9. Sauce: 2 tsp oil
  10. 2 tbsp ginger
  11. 2 tsp sweet chili sauce
  12. 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  13. 1 tsp vinegar
  14. Corn slurry (Mix 1 tbsp cornflour in 1/4th cup water)
  15. 1 tsp lime juice

Step 2: ​Instructions

  1. Put salt and pepper to the prawn and keep aside.
  2. Mix the marinated prawn with all the ingredients from "Batter" section and keep ready aside.
  3. Heat some oil
  4. Fry the batter coated prawns until they become nice light golden brown and crisp. Once done,keep them aside.
  5. Now let's make sauce. Heat 2 tsp oil.
  6. Once hot, Put lot of chopped ginger. Saute for few seconds.
  7. Now add sweet chili sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, lime juice and fried prawns. Give a nice toss around.
  8. Add little corn slurry. Again toss well.
  9. Finally add chopped spring onions
  10. Serve and enjoy.
