Introduction: Gluten-free Sugar-free Sweet Fruit Crisp
Easy -- bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes.
Fast -- prepare ingredients takes only 15 minutes.
Nutricious -- using fresh fruits, spices and besan flour.
Step 1: In an 8"x8" Baking Dish,
fill with 6 cups of fruit. I am using fresh Niagara peaches and apples. You can use any fruit you like.
6 cups fruit: apples, core and slice
peaches, remove skin and seed, slice
1 teaspoon lemon rind
Step 2: Sweetener Is:
1/4 cup organic pitted dates
1/2 cup organic raisins
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon fresh-ground nutmeg
1/4 cup water or more
Using a mini-blender, blend all the ingredients until smooth. Spread onto the fruit in the baking pan.
Step 3: Topping:
3/4 cup besan (chickpea) flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup unsalted butter
For Topping, mix ingredients and cut butter in until it is the size of peas.
Spread Topping onto fruit.
Step 4: BAKE at 350 Degrees F
for 50-60 minutes or until topping is light brown and bubbly.
Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
