Quilling is the art of creating intricate shapes from strips of paper. The technique is simple: After a long, narrow ribbon of paper is rolled around a needle like tool (I am using toothpick), the strip is arranged with your fingertips into the desired shape, and then glued to make it permanent on any surface. Quilled add an elegant touch to cards for any occasion. Today In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make A Greeting card which is decorated by Quilling Art.

Step 1: Basic Requirements:-

A Thick Chart Paper for Greeting Card(40cm x 30cm)
Qulling Papers or Paper Strips
glu
Toothpick or quilling tool
Comb
Colored or Decorating paper
Some Sparkle Pen
Scissors
Scale

Step 2: Size of Greeting Card

i am having a Thick Chart paper Of size 40cm x 30cm so i used it.but You can make cards of any size.

Now Fold the chart paper of half of its width,After doing this the size will be 20cm x 30 cm.And this is the base of this greeting Card. So we have canvas as following-

1.Front Side (20cm x 30cm)

2.Middle Left and Right.(40cm x 30cm)

3 Back side.(20cm x 30cm)

And Through These canvas you have to convey you message or thought.

Step 3: Front View Part 1 :-

I want to make it very clean and simple.i thought that a pot with a flower plant will looks good on it.

Steps:-

Just Draw a pot.
Now use comb and Quilling Paper and Coil the paper as shown in the picture above.
Now repeat the step 2 and fill the pot with Quilled Paper As shown in Pictures.
And after filling it place and glu it on its place.
Now take some quilling paper and coil it tightly around toothpick one by one and glu them under the pot.

It will give a shelf like look.on which the pot is placed.

Steps To Make flower:-

Best way to understand the steps is just watch the video.

i used 15cm quilling paper and coiled it on the comb as shown in the picture.
Repeat above step 16 time so you will got 16 part of flower.
Just glu all 16 parts on a single circular decorating paper as shown in above pictures.
Now joint one black and yellow strip and coil it on a toothpick and glu it on the middle of the flower.

use Green strip and make a plant as shown in the pictures above.
Now Write the Main message on a decorating paper and glu it on the Top.
So now your front part of the card is prepared.
Decorate more according to the purpose and idea.

A hanging Happy Birthday Message on the top,A peacock under it,A flower and some beautiful birthday message.it's all i want to do and you can see the final result.

So use your Talent,assumption,Mind and fill every corner of this part of greeting Card ,

Just leave some space at the Right Bottom size to write the message and names etc.

Step 7: Back Side:-

i used Decorating papers and Sparkle pens to decorate this part of the card and leaved most of the space blank,But you can decorate it more so just use some cool designs and fill this part also.
