Introduction: Hello Kitty Cake

I am a big fan of Hello Kitty~!! Sooooo CUTE!! Did you know Hello Kitty is Japanese? Yes, Yes!! Hello Kitty is Japanese :) You can buy Wilton Hello Kitty pan online. 

★☆Ingredients☆★

-2-Layer Cake Mix (Your choice)

Butter cream Icing (3 Cups)

-4 Cups (about 1 lb) Sifted confectioners Sugar
-1/2 Cup solid vegetable shortening
-1/2 Cup (1 Stick) Butter or Margarine, Softened
-2 Tablespoons Milk
-1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
-Icing color set (Red, Black, Yellow and White)

STEP 1

Make one 2 -layer cake mix according to package or recipe directions. Preheat oven to 350 F (According to your cake mix box) and grease the inside of the pan completely with vegetable shorting.

STEP 2

Make Butter cream icing. Cream butter and shorting with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well with medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.

STEP 3

Add Color to icing. 
1/2 Cup Red
1/4 Cup Yellow
1/4 Cup Black
2 Cup White

STEP 4

Start decorating the Hello Kitty Cake!! 

Red Bow: Pipe in inside loop in red with tip 8 (Smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch) Outline inside and outside loop and knob in black with tip 6. Fill in bow with tip 16 stars in red.

Yellow Nose: Pipe in nose in yellow with tip 3. *I don't have yellow coloring so I use yellow piping gel for this picture

Black Eyes: Pipe in eyes in balck with tip 8 (Smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch)

Black Whiskers: Pipe outline whiskers in black with tip 4.

White Face: Cover face with tip 16 starts in white.
