Introduction: Herb Pesto
"When life gives you herbs, make pesto."
Pesto sauces do not have to be made solely from basil. You can use almost any herb to make pesto. Pesto comes from the Genoese word pesta, which means to pound or crush.
I recently went on an adventure around my college campus and discovered a whole bunch of herbs that I used to make a pesto.

This is a really great combination! The cheddar is a great choice. I also made it with pistachio and it was good too. Thanks for the recipe!

Thank you! Pistachio is a great idea, I hadn't thought of that before!

yeah it IS that easy. I made sage-peanut pesto (with some peccorino) last year to go with chicken. (I used peanuts because that's all I had)

Thank you for asking! I prefer to eat it with a fresh sourdough or regular baguette.
