Introduction: Homemade Oreo Cookie
this is a Remix off of the homemade Oreo Cookie by In The Kitchen With Matt. He has his own instructable so go look at his too. https://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-Homemade-Oreo-Cookies/
Ingredients
entire yellow cake mix
1/3 cup of canola or vegetable oil (78ml)
2 large eggs
1lb (16oz) or 453 g of Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup of unsalted softened butter (115g)
4 oz of softened cream cheese (can use 8 oz as well) (115g)
1 tsp. of vanilla extract (5ml)
Chocolate chips (as much as you want to put in)
Tools
Hand mixer or Stand Mixer
Bowls
Spatula
Spoon or Scoop
Cookie Sheet
Ziplock bag
Step 1: Mix Eggs and Oil
First preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then we mix together our eggs and our oil in a large bowl, using a hand mixer, whisk, or stand mixer.
Step 2: Add Cake Mix
Next, we add the entire cake mix and chocolate chips into the large bowl then we are gonna mix it again with a hand mixer, whisk, stand mixer, or if you want you can use a wooden spoon. Mix until completely combined into one substance.
Step 3: Scoop and Ball Up the Dough
Next, we want to scoop out the dough into a ball shape that is as big as a ping pong ball. When we have made all of our dough into balls then we bake them in the oven for 10 - 12 minutes.
Step 4: Cool the Cookies
Once our cookies are out of the oven and look like this, we have to let them cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes.
Step 5: Make the Filling
Next, we have to make our filling. Add the cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar into a bowl then we mix them together really well.
Step 6: Pipe the Filling
Next, take a ziplock bag and place it into a glass, then add the filling to the bag(we are making a piping bag). Next push the filling into one corner, then twist the other end a few times, keeping the filling at the corner.
Step 7: Finishing Touch
Now just snip off the corner with some scissors and you go yourself a piping bag. Then gently squeeze out the filling onto a cookie. Then place another cookie gently on top of the filling that you just placed on the cookie. Now you should have the homemade oreo cookie. Enjoy!
