In this instructable I will show you how to make Honey Mustard Molasses Pork Barbecue. This easy grilled pork recipe was inspired from a Bobby Flay recipe. I love grilled pork! Add some Dijon mustard, molasses, and honey as a glaze and you have the making of some exceptional pork! Let's get grilling!

Step 1: Ingredients/Tools

Ingredients:

  • Pork tenderloin (a few pounds)
  • 1/4 cup of Molasses
  • 1/2 cup of Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. of Honey
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • Pepper
  • Garlic Powder

Step 2: Prep That Pork

First we want to prep our pork tenderloin. I would definitely buy the pork tenderloin, although the pork loin is cheaper, the tenderloin will turn out better. I usually just buy one package which winds up being 2 to 3 pounds of pork tenderloin. Let's use a knife and cut the pork into pieces about one inch wide or so, it doesn't have to be perfect. Then using our meat tenderizer or a rolling pin, smash down the pork so it thins out to about 1/4 of an inch thick, this doesn't have to be exact. Then place the pork medallions on a sheet pan.

Step 3: Add the Seasonings

Now let's season our pork. Drizzle a bit of olive oil all over the meat. Then add some salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I don't measure, I just shake some on. Next you can flip the meat over and add some more seasonings if you like, or let it soak up the extra seasonings. I don't usually add more, I typically just move the pieces around flipping them over so each side is coated.

Step 4: Make the Yummy Glaze

Next we will make our glaze which we will baste on the pork when they are on the grill. We add our molasses, dijon mustard, and our honey to a small bowl, then add a couple shakes of salt, and then mix it together with a fork or small whisk.

Step 5: Grill That Pork

Now it is time to grill up some meat! Place the pork on a preheated grill (medium to medium high heat works best). Once the pork is on the grill use a basting brush and brush on the glaze to the top side. Next we let the pork cook for 3 to 5 minutes on this side. It is pretty thin so it will cook pretty fast.

Step 6: Finish Cooking the Pork

After the first side has had time to cook, we flip it over and repeat. We brush on the glaze and then let this side cook. The finished pork will be fairly firm when you push down on it with your tongs, and it will have a nice grilled color. You don't want to over cook the pork, otherwise it will get dried out, it will still taste pretty good, but not as good.

Step 7: Eat the Pork
