How I Fix a Hole in a Wall With Friable Plaster ...

I live in an old House with friable plaster on all walls and I have always problems to fix something on the walls. One morning I woke up and my blind layed on the ground and I had a hole(60x25x20) in the wall where the blind was fixed ...

100 years ago they used pieces of wood to fix blinds, the orginal one was broken and I usually haven't pieces of wood in my flat ...

But I have a 3D printer :-)

So I created a block which fits the hole, the sides are ripply to increase the friction and a lot of screwholes to fix my blind one the right position ...

... problem solved ...

Step 1: Create the Replacement Block in Fusion 360 and Print It ...

I measured the size of the hole, it was circa 60x25x20.

So I created a block wih a size of 55x20x20, I sketched 8 circles on top on every side ...

I added every uneven circle to the block and I removed every even circle...

I added 27 holes on front sides which fits to my screw size ...

After that I printed this block ...

Step 2: Plaster the Block Into the Hole ...

I mixed plaster and filled the half hole ...

After that I put the block into the hole and removed surplus plaster ...

I waited one day to let the plaster dry ...

I fixed the blind on the block ...
