How to Create a Legen- Wait for It- Dary Science Fair Project

Okay, so you've done some science fair projects in the past, and they have been, meh. You know the scientific method and don't need a review on it, so what do you need? Well, in this presentation we give you 10 or so, tips or tricks to making your science fair project even better, starting from the moment you even conceive of one, to the last second when you present it. We won't tell you how to do one, there are plenty of sites and Instructables for that, instead we thought it useful if we gave you tips on how to make it better/.

Step 1: Tip #1: Think

Don't do a science fair project that doesn't interest you, that would be a waste of your time. You won't be motivated by the research that you are doing, and your finished work will represent the boredom you got from expirementing what ever. Suggestion, do something that interests you, do you like cars? If you do, then do something on cars, or are you the next Mare Curie? Then do something on radioactivity. Pursue you interests!

Step 2: Tip #2: Be Organized

When you do a Science Fair project, organization is you Khan, Darth-Vader, or Count Baltar (If you watch Battlestar Galactica), One key to doing a successful science fair project is being thoroughly organized, from your research to your testing, be organized all the way. Having a little OCD helps in these situations when you don't where anything for your Science Fair project is, it is very annoying. 

Step 3: Tip #3: Experiment Thoroughly

Experimenting is the heart of your science fair project, it is where all your hard work and perseverance is nested. Do not let it go to waste, test thoroughly and rigorously, you never know when extra data may come in helpful. Keep all your data in a journal or excel notebook, but like tip 2 keep it organized.

Step 4: Tip 4#: Make Your Board Fabulous

You've worked hard, kept a lot of hours into your project, and you want to make your presentation superb, what should you do? Make your board fabulous! You are fabulous and so is your board, make it clean and simple to understand, but don't make it gray and black, meh. Add color, add easy to understand visuals, add foam letters, and use big font. The board is literally what shows everyone your project. Black and meh, or Color and fabulous? Your choice.

Step 5: Tip #5: Don't Plagiarize

DON'T PLAGIARIZE. NEVER PLAGIARIZE, ITS A HORRIBLE PRACTICE. DON'T USE SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK AS YOUR OWN, JUST DON'T. IT'S NOT RIGHT, AND MAKES YOU LOOK BAD. JUST ERASE ANY MALICIOUS THOUGHTS ABOUT PLAGIARIZING  OUT OF YOUR SYSTEM. On that note, don't plagiarize.

Step 6: Tip 6#: Don't Procrastinate on Your Research Paper

At one point in our lives, we all have sat on the day before Science Fair, and start cranking our words, on a paper and call it our research paper. Don't do it. Break loose of that habit, it will make your paper look horrible, since you didn't spend anytime on it, and probably didn't even care what your were writing. In fact, don't procrastinate at all, it is a horrible practice.

Step 7: Tip #7: Present Like You Mean It!

Now, your done. Breathe, relax. Don't sweat it, you've done a great job, you followed our tips and are off to a great start, now for the presentation. The last be hurdle, the final frontier, don't worry about the judges, present your project as if your having a conversation with a normal person. Take the initiative to show passion about your project, show what you have done, take like you mean it.
