How to Juice a Lemon

Introduction: How to Juice a Lemon

About: I am married with two children. Spring, summer, and fall are my very favorite times of the year. I enjoy working in the yard, sewing, cooking, quilting, gardening, and creating. I do this to keep my sanity.

My sister taught me this quick and easy  tip when juicing lemons.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 Lemon

Step 2: Utensils

Cutting Board
Sharp knife
Microwave (Not shown)
Small lemon juicer

Step 3: Method

Wash the lemon.
Gently press and roll the lemon on a cutting board.
Place in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Remove from the microwave and let set for 5 minutes.
Cut in half.
Place one half over the lemon juicer and press.
Repeat with remaining lemon half.

You need to let the lemon set for 5 minutes or it could squirt all over if you don't.

Step 4: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts

This really works great!  I hope you try it.
Thanks for stopping by.  Have a splendid day!

I use this method too and also if you select your lemons by looking for the shiny thin skinned ones which juice so much better than the thick lumpy skinned ones.

Thanks for sharing pecospearl! I wished I could find Meyers lemons in my area! They are so good and they happen to have thin skins. Have a super day!
