Introduction: How to Turn on a Blender
Blenders are wonderful tools used to chop up different ingredients into much smaller particles for better convenience of the occasion. They can be used to make smoothies, shakes, juices, salsa, etc. In this tutorial, I will teach you on how to get started with your blender by turning it on.
Step 1: Acquire a Blender
Blenders can be purchased online as well as local stores such as Walmart. The blender I am going to use is a BlendTec blender.
Step 2: Locate Switch
The switch on your blender may be on the backside of the body as it is on mine. Older blenders may not have an on switch. If your blender has no on switch, then you can skip to step 4.
Step 3: Flip Switch to on Position
You can verify if it is in the on position if the side of the switch with the I on it is pushed down as shown in the first image.
Step 4: Select Blend Option
Now on the front of your blender, there will be either a bunch of buttons or a knob or both. These buttons control how your blender behaves. These buttons can be specific to what you are blending. For example, a smoothie, shake, etc. On my blender, the buttons 1-4 act as the food blend presets.
If your blender came with a container or a jar with a lid that mounts to the base, you can put it on so you can start putting ingredients in. Be cautious as the blade at the bottom of the container or jar can be dangerous when spinning even at low speeds.
Step 5: Troubleshoot
If your blender isn't turning on after following the previous steps, ensure that your blender is plugged into power. If plugging it into power doesn't fix the issue, then your blender may be defective and requires repair or replacement.
