Introduction: How to Cook the Ultimate Steak Sandwich

This is my ultimate steak sandwich! It’s a little over the top but it tasted so damn good!

  • 1 Large Round Bread Roll
  • 1 Onion 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • G-Fresh Barbecue Seasoning
  • Bacon
  • Swiss Cheese
  • Salami

Step 1: Season the Steak the Steak With Your Choice of Rub.

Step 2: Slice One Onion Into Strips.

Step 3: Cook the Steak to Your Liking.

Step 4: In a Cast Iron Pan Add Two Knobs of Butter.

Add the onion and begin to sweat them down.

To help caramelise the onion add 1 Tbsp of brown sugar.

Cook until fully caramelised.

Step 5: Fry Off the Bacon.

Step 6: Cut the Top Off of a Large Round Roll and Remove Most of the Inside Section.

Step 7: Now It's Time to Layer This Sandwich!

First, add a layer of the steak.

Followed by the caramelised onion.

Next, add some Swiss cheese.

Now add a layer of Spinach Leaves (to try and be somewhat healthy!)

Then a layer of sun dried tomatoes and a layer of hot salami.

Spoon on some whole grain mustard.

Layer on the bacon!

Add another layer of Swiss cheese and a second layer of steak.

And finish it off with some tomato relish.

Step 8: Place the Round Roll Lid Back Onto the Sandwich.

Wrap the sandwich in aluminium foil.

Step 9: Place the Sandwich Under Something Heavy to Press All of the Ingredients and Flavours Together for 1 to 3 Hours.

Step 10: Warm Up the Sandwich in the BBQ to Melt the Cheese.

Step 11: There You Have It! My Ultimate Steak Sandwich!
