How to Fix a Fridge Pull

Introduction: How to Fix a Fridge Pull

Fancy refrigerators don't have handles, they have "pulls" that cost $230 to replace or 23 cents to fix. They come in three pieces. The two little pieces, called standoffs, screw into the large piece. These pulls are often made of brass, which is a weak metal. The threaded stud broke off one of the standoffs. Here is the fix.

Steps:

1 - Drill hole in metal standoff, where the old stud used to be.

2 - Coat the inside of the hole with JB-weld.

3 - Insert a new threaded stud, cut to the right length, from a bolt.

They no longer have pulls either, they have "ergonomic design elements", and now cost $450 and your first- born male child to replace. ☺

They are no longer called a "fridge", they are a "Lifestyle Enhancement Armoire". ☺
