Introduction: How to Fold a Paper Box

These paper boxes are useful for holding just about anything that can fit. Crease all folds you make.

Step 1: Gather Materials

Get a standard size piece of paper

Step 2: Fold in Half

Fold the paper in half hamburger style.

Step 3: Fold in Half Again

Fold the paper in half hamburger style again

Step 4: Fold Top Layer Out

Make sure the corner with the 4 loose corners is facing you. Lift the first layer with 1 hand and place the other hand on the inside holding the remaining 3 layers down as shown in the picture. Pull the top layer out pull to your left to make a triangle.

Step 5: Fold Flap Back Over

Fold back over the flap you just created.

Step 6: Flip Over and Repeat Step 4

Flip the paper over and make sure the corner with the 2 loose corners is facing you. Lift the first layer with 1 hand and place the other hand on the inside holding the remaining layer down as shown in the picture.

Step 7: Fold 1 Flap Back Over

Fold over 1 flap so that 2 flaps are on both sides as shown.

Step 8: Fold Left Flap Toward Center

Take the corner of the first layer of the left flap and fold it to the center line.

Step 9: Fold Right Flap

Take the corner of the first layer of the right flap and fold it to the center line.

Step 10: Fold Along Line Shown

With the point of the paper facing away from you fold along the line shown in the picture.

Step 11: Flip Over and Repeat Steps 8-10

Repeat steps 8-10 on the other side

Step 12: Tuck Corner In

With the point away from you locate the square flap as shown in the image tuck it into the triangle behind it as shown in the picture.

Step 13: Repeat Step 12 for the 3 Remaining Corners

Tuck the 3 remaining flaps in.

Step 14: Open the Box

Flip over so that the corner is pointing down open the box at the top and press the point up. You can crease the edges to create a more defined box.
