5.     Imagination

Step 1: Clean Out Your Drawer

Remove all contents from your drawers and clean them out well. You want to start with a fresh clean Drawer.

Step 2: Measure Drawer for Length, Width, and Height

You want to measure your drawer so we get the correct thickness kaizen foam and that we have the proper dimensions when we go to cut it down to fit the drawer

Step 3: Grab Correct Thickness Kaizen Foam

Kaizen foam comes in different thicknesses, so you have options to buy it in these different variations. Choose the best option for your application.

Step 4: Mark Out Dimensions on Your Kaizen Foam and Cut With a Utility Knife

Mark out your dimensions for length and width and cut these with a Utility Knife. (Use extreme Caution while working with Utility Knives)

Step 5: Position Kaizen Foam in Drawer

Put your cut piece of kaizen foam in the drawer. This should be a snug tight fit

Step 6: Layout Drawer by Putting Items on Top of Kaizen Foam and Finding the Best Layout for You

You want to lay out your drawer and try many different options before settling on your decision and especially before you start cutting. Make sure this is what you want before you start cutting the kaizen foam

Step 7: Mark Out Areas With a Marker and Cut Outline for Your Contents.

Once you decide on your layout you will need to trace around each item with a marker

Step 8: Cut Out Your Outlines (Be Sure to Cut on the Inside of the Marked Line to Ensure a Tighter Fit) and Put Contents in Place

Cut out the lines you just traced, trying to keep the depth close to the same thickness as the item to be placed in the slot

Step 9: Finish

Place all contents in their place and be sure this is what the drawer looks like when we are finished using its contents for the day
