Introduction: How to Make Funfetti Cupcakes #HMS2020

I am going to be baking a Funfetti cupcakes with vanilla frosting. I think anybody can make this once they practice. Making a cake can be hard at first but once you bake a lot it gets easier. Funfetti cupcakes/cake in general is basically a vanilla cake with sprinkles mixed into the cake batter.

Supplies

3 tablespoons of unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)

1/3 cup of canola oil or vegetable oil

1 cup of sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of buttermilk

3 large egg whites

1/3 cup of sprinkles

Step 1: Oven Temperature and Wet Ingredients

First, preheat your oven to 350F and prepare a 12 count muffin tin with paper liners. Set it aside.Next, place your 3 egg whites in a large bowl and mix until all is combined well. Add your 1/3 cup of canola oil or vegetable oil until all is mixed in and it is smooth and combined very well. If it is not mixed in well your cupcake textures may come out clumpy. Once all is mixed in move on to your dry ingredients.

Step 2: Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together your 1 1/3 cup of flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Whisk together the dry ingredients before moving on. Do not move on to the next step until you finish this step. Make sure all the dry ingredients are mixed in well so that your batter is smooth.

Step 3: Combine All Ingredients

Combine your wet ingredients mixture and your dry ingredients mixture until everything is completely combined. Make sure you scrape off the sides and the bottom of the bowl so everything can get mixed in. Using a spatula keep mixing your batter and scraping your ingredients off the sides and the bottom of the bowl. Mix all ingredients in until everything is mixed in and is combined equally. Add your sprinkles into the batter and mix well.

Step 4: Dividing Batter

Divide combined batter into prepared cupcake tin. Fill each paper cupcake liner a little bit more than half way full. Use a spatula or spoon to divide the batter into the paper cupcake liners. Make sure you have enough batter to fill all 12 cupcake liners.

Step 5: Baking

Set the 12 count cupcake tin with the cupcake liners filled in with batter into the oven for about 20-25 minutes depending if it is done or not. If you think your cupcakes are done, use a tooth pick and poke a hole in each cupcake to see if the cupcakes are completely baked. If you do not check your cupcakes, they might turn out not cooked all the way. Once the cupcakes are done take them out the oven, and let them cool down. Then add your frosting

Step 6: How the Cupcakes Turned Out + Conclusion

The cupcakes turned out just how I wanted them to. Except they were a little undone because i forgot to use a toothpick to see if they were done or not. Something I learned from this project is that I should go a little slower when I am baking so that everything goes right. I suggest that you do use a toothpick to check if your cupcakes are done or not. In conclusion, other than the cake being a little uncooked everything else went perfectly right.
