Introduction: How to Make Kurdish Bread

Kurdish bread is a tasty treat. You can have it for breakfast, dinner and lunch. It’s easy to make, and very rewarding.

Step 1: Ingredients

The most important part of this instructable might be the ingredients.
• One package of active dry yeast
• 2 cups of warm water
• 1 table spoon of salt
• 3 cups of bread flour
• 2 tablespoons of corn oil
• nonstick spray

Step 2: The Tools

You really only need a couple of things to make this work.
• 1 large bowl
• a pan
• an oven

Step 3: Pour It All In.

Pour the flour in the bowl, with the salt, and 1 cup of the warm water. The yeast should be added in as well. Mix the ingredients by hand until it comes out doughy.

Step 4: Kneed It

With the dough, add corn oil and kneed it. You want to kneed the bread until it comes out looking something similar to the provided picture!

Step 5: Letting the Bread Rise

Let the bread rise in a closed environment, with the yeast that was added!

Step 6: Kneading the Bread Again

Once the dough is done rising (45-60 minutes), you want to then knead it down flat. Rub a pinch of corn oil on top of the dough.

Step 7: Baking It

Preheat the oven at 350 degrees, bake the dough for 10 minutes. Place the dough on the pan, with corn oil rubbed over the pan. Use some nonstick spray on the pan, if you prefer. You then want to set the oven on broil, allowing the bread another 10 minutes in the oven.

Step 8: The Finish Product

The finished product should come out looking similar to the above image. The bread takes about 20 minutes total of baking time.

Baking Kurdish bread isn’t a hard task, and it’s a wonderful bread to have for breakfast with your favorite toppings. Baking bread at home is uncommon in our society, however it’s a rewarding feeling, and an even tastier treat.
