Introduction: How to Make Samosa

Hello everyone!! This recipe for potatoes samosa is really easy and delicious. Today I will show you guys the best way to make them. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Ingredients

For the filling we will be needing:

1. A bag of potatoes

2. Salt

3. Sugar

4. MSG Onions (the amount depends on the potatoes)

5. Oil

6. Egg

7. Oyster sauce

8. Spring roll pastry

Step 2: Let’s Start

Let’s starts by cutting the onions into little pieces. Try not to cut big pieces or else it will be hard to wrap. After cutting, put it in a bowl and set it aside.

Step 3: Getting Ready

Wash the potatoes with water. After the potatoes are washed, get a big pot that is filled with water. We only need the water to fill in half of the pot or it will overflow. The reason we need a big pot of water is after peeling the potatoes and leaving it out like that will turn the potatoes black. Wash each potato, cut them in half, and put it in the pot. Continue this process.

After this, wash the potatoes with water again then boil the potatoes. Let the potatoes boil for 15 minutes. Make sure not to overflow the water in the pot. While the potatoes are boiling, cut one onion into little pieces, and put them into a plate.

Step 4:

After the potatoes are boiled for 15 minutes, drained the water completely. It is important to drain the water out or the potatoes will look mushy like mash potatoes.

Once the water is drained out, use a wooden spatula or potatoes masher to mash the potatoes.

Warning! Do not mash the potatoes completely. There should be a little chunk of potatoes in the pot.

The video shows how to mash it with a spatula.

Remember, if there are more potatoes then add more seasoning if needed.

Once the stuffing is ready, take out the spring roll pastry from the freezer and let it defrost.

When it comes to deep frying food it is important that there is no water in the pot or the samosa. Get the deep fryer and pour oil into the pot. It should fill out half of the pot. Turn on the stove, let it warm up. Once the oil is boiling, put the samosa slowly into the deep fryer. Make sure the oil does not splash. When the samosa is frying, stir the samosa so it is evenly frying. Once the samosa looks golden brown, stop frying.

Enjoy the samosa!
