Introduction: How to Make Simple & Easy Amplifier Using LM386 With High Gain

In this tutorial i will show you how to make a Simple & Easy Amplifier Using LM386 With High Gain. And i also included two alternate circuits with this post.

Step 2: Circuit Diagram

Using the circuit diagram given in this construct your PCB board.

Amplifier Features :

1. Very little parts are required

2. Works with 5 to 12V range.

Note : At 5 volt the amplifier gives out some noise which can be reduced using a Pot. The circuit diagram for the same is given in the next step. For design or circuit diagram which is shown in this step the optimal operating voltage is above 9 volt & below 12 Volt. Above 12 Volt the IC LM386 starts getting heating.

3. Gain is between 20 to 200

Testing :

In the video i have tested the circuit under three conditions

1. Testing with 5 Volt - with 5 volt the output ha some noise in it

2. Testing with 12 Volt - With 12 volt the output is noise free

3. Testing with Volume control

Step 3: Alternate Circuit Diagrams

I have added two extra circuit diagrams.

1st Image - In this circuit there is only one change from the initial circuit diagram. i.e i have added 10uF/16v capacitor to the pin 1 & 8 of LM386

2nd Image - Pin outs of the 1st image in this step

3rd image - In this circuit there is only one change from the initial circuit diagram. i.e i have added 10k pot for the volume control
