A sturdy whipped cream frosting that can also be piped onto your cake to add borders and decorations. It holds up better than plain whipped cream with the same great taste.

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

Heavy whipping cream

Powdered sugar

Vanilla extract

Light corn syrup

Step 2: Start Whipping

Add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream to a mixer with a whip attachment. . Beat it just until the cream starts to thicken.

TIP: Its a good idea to put the whip and your mixing bowl in the freezer for until they are nice and cold. This will help the cream whip up better!

Step 3: Add Other Ingredients

Add 2 tsps vanilla extract

Add 2 tsps of light corn syrup. This provides the stabilization for the whupped cream.

Add 3 or more tablespoons of powdered sugar. Just depends on how sweet you want your frosting.

Step 4: Whip It Up

Whip it until it reaches a spreadable consistency. Frost your cakes or cupcakes and enjoy the great taste of whipped cream.

That's it? Corn syrup like Karo corn syrup? Weird. Does it end up extra sweet? Can I use caster sugar instead of powdered? I just don't like powdered sugar.

My grandmother used to do this. Just thinking about it makes me happy. Thanks.
