Introduction: How to Make 'Uncrustables' Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches.

This is a tutorial on how you can take a boring, regular PB and J sandwich and make it even more delightful to eat. It has the same ingredients as an ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich but it somehow tastes even better. This is inspired by the 'Uncrustables' sandwiches sold by Smucker's.

Supplies

Peanut Butter

Jelly (Any flavor)

Whole Wheat Bread

Knife

Fork

4-inch cookie cutter

Pizza cutter

Plate

Step 1: Gather the Required Tools and Ingredients

Step 2: Lay the Sliced Bread Flat on a Plate.

Step 3: Spread a Layer of Peanut Butter on Both Slices of Bread

You’ll want to ensure that you don't cover the edges of the bread in peanut butter. This helps with sealing the bread together later on.

Step 4: Squeeze Two Packets of Jelly Onto One Slice of Bread

Try to place the jelly in the center of the bread instead of spreading it out. The peanut butter acts as a barrier for the jelly preventing it from making the sandwich soggy. (Two packets of jelly correspond to about 3 full tablespoons)

Step 5: Place the Other Slice on Top.

Step 6: Press the Edges of the Bread Together

This helps to seal the contents in place.

Step 7: Press the Cookie Cutter Into the Sandwich

Use the dull edge of the cookie-cutter when pressing into the sandwich. To protect your hands from the sharp edge, you can place a plate on top of the cutter then press down.

Step 8: Cut Away the Excess Using the Pizza Cutter.

Make sure to keep the cookie cutter in place so that you can use it as a guide to cut around the sandwich.

Step 9: Remove the Cookie Cutter

You should probably also throw away the extra crusts unless you were planning to eat those.

Step 10: (Optional) Press the Edges With a Fork on Both Sides

You can use a fork to press around the edges of your sandwich to make it look more aesthetically pleasing. Otherwise, you can forget this step and just dig in! If you choose to do this step, press the edges on the first side then flip the sandwich over and press the edges on the other side. This helps to seal the sandwich more securely.

Step 11: Enjoy Your Sandwich!
