Introduction: How to Make a Cool Paper Airplane!

I am pretty sure everyone knows how to make a standard paper airplane. You can make lots of different designs, and when you use your imagination with a few extra add-ons, you can make one unlike ever before. This instructable is for beginning and intermediate designers.

Now let's jump into it , or shall I say, let's fly into it!

Step 1: Gathering You Materials

For the paper airplane I am making, you will need printing paper, a paper clip, and coloring supplies.

Step 2: Folding the Paper

Grab your paper and fold it in half or "hot dog" style. Rub your fingernail across the crease to make a crisp fold. Once you have done this, unfold the paper.

Step 3: Folding the Corners In

In this step, you will fold the top left corner to the crease and the top right corner to the crease as well. It will look like the picture above.

Step 4: Folding the Triangles Corner

On each triangle formed, you will fold it's corner to the line as shown in the pictures above. Remember, for the best plane, make sure the folds are crisp.

Step 5: Fold in the Tip

This step is simple. All you are going to do is fold the front tip of the plane inwards.

Step 6: Fold the Plane in Half

You know how we folded the paper in half at the beginning? You are going to fold the plane in half again on that same line. Now don't be worried if it is harder to fold in half. It is because of all the other folds.

Step 7: Making Your Wings

Now fold the flat notch at the highest point to the bottom of the airplane on both sides. When you open the wings up, they should stay up and both sides should be symmetrical.

Step 8: Add the Paper Clip

Where you folded the tip inwards at the front of the plane, carefully place the paper clip on the forward (front) of the plane.

Step 9: Now Decorate (Optional)

Now it is time to decorate your creation. The limit is only your imagination. Add glitter or maybe even paint. I used colored pencils for my flame design since this type of plane is awesome for doing barrel rolls.

I hope your plane turns out as great as this one. Good luck and share this with your friends.
