Introduction: How to Make a DODO Case Wearable
We challenged some of the teens at our library to modify a DODO Case so that it could be used without requiring you to hold it in your hands. Here's what they came up with.
Step 1: What You Need:
- A DODO Case
- A piece of elastic
- A hot glue gun
- A small piece of felt
Step 2: Measure and Cut
Hold the DODO Case up to your face and have your partner measure how long a piece of elastic you will need to stretch from one side of the case to the other around your head.
Cut the elastic.
Step 3: Assemble!
Using the hot glue gun, place a blob of hot glue on one side of the DODO Case. Fix one end of the elastic taking care not to burn your fingers on the hot glue. Repeat on other side.
Step 4: For Comfort
You may or may not like the way cardboard feels when it is pushed against your nose. Our teens were not a fan, so the last step is to add a felt cushion to the nosepiece.
Take your small piece of felt and make several shallow cuts along the long sides. These will help the felt fold around the nose cutout without wrinkling. Apply a few dabs of hot glue and stick the felt in place, again take care not to burn yourself on the hot glue.
Step 5: Now You Can Wear It!
Now slide that elastic band over your head, settle the felt cushion on your nose, and get ready for some fun virtual reality!!

Great ideas for making your dodocases both wearable and comfy!
There's nothing worse than cardboard burn on the bridge of your nose. Nice work!
