Have you ever wondered how to make a pop up card or how to make something in origami that isn’t really folding until you get something? Well if so, you tapped on the right subject. In this instructable, you will learn how to make a kirigami pop up card. You will need a few materials you can find at home, and some folding skills.

Step 1: Gather Your Materials

The first thing you are going to want to do is gather your materials. What you will need is, a computer or IPad to find what you want to make. The best thing to do is search kirigami then what ever you want, and pop up card.

Ex. Kirigami Stairs Pop-Up card. Next, there is two ways to do this step. One way is to find the image and print it out or you can try and draw it. You will also need a piece of construction paper and an x-acto knife or scissors.

Step 2: Cutting

Now, after you draw or print it, you will notice that there are two or three different colored lines. This is because each line is either a full cut and a cut which is for folding. The folding lines are either green and red or big dashes and little dashes. The straight line is the one with a full cut. What you are going to want to do is cut the dashed lines first but not all the way through. Then cut the straight lines. These you will cut all the way through.I

Step 3: Folding

Next, you will fold the dashed lines. Fold the small dashed lines outward, and the bigger lines inward. By this point, you should have the basic shape of the figure.
