Introduction: How to Make a Paper Airplane

First, in order to start making your paper airplane, you need to gather supplies. The following supplies are needed to make this paper plane: A standard 8.5 inches wide and 11 inches tall, some supplies that might be helpful are a ruler to make sure your fold is more precise and a pen might also help track these lines and where to fold.

Step 1: Starting the Wings of Your Paper Airplane

First, you want to take the top right corner of your paper when it is vertically oriented and fold it on a 45-degree angle. Then repeat the same step with the top left corner.

Step 2: Continuing the Wings of Your Paper Plane

First, grab the edge of the top of your right flap you have just made and fold it in 45 degrees as done on the previous step. Then repeat this on the left side and do your best to make it symmetrical.

Step 3: Folding the Plane to a Taco

For this step take either the right or left edge of the paper and fold it inwards until you reach the seam you previously created. This should almost make it feel like your making the paper into a taco shell when this step is complete.

Step 4: Finishing the Basic Design of Your Plane

Now that you have this taco like the shape you need to take either side left or right of the top of the "taco" shell and fold it down 45 degrees, whichever side you have remaining do your best to replicate this.

Step 5: Customization and Creativity

Now that you have your airplane feel free to color on it and customize it however you feel is right for you!
