If you are interested in making a paper heart then this is the instructable for you. Follow the simple steps below to achieve your goal in creating a paper heart.

Supplies

For this craft, you will need a piece of paper that is easy to fold. You will also need a pair of scissors to cut your paper into a square if it is not already in a square shape.

Step 1: Cut Paper Into a Square

If your paper is already in a square then you can move ahead onto the next step. If your paper is not yet cut into a square and you are using a rectangular piece of paper you are going take the top corner of the paper and fold it down diagonally so the top line is now matched to the side line of the paper. After doing this you should have a small rectangular shape at the bottom of your paper. Now you are going to take your scissors and cut off this rectangular shape. Unfold the paper and you should be left with a perfect square.

Step 2: Make Guidelines

Take your square and turn it so one of the points is facing up. Fold the paper in half both ways so you create four little triangles. You will use these as guidelines for the rest of the steps to come.

Step 3: Fold Top and Bottom

With one point of your square pointing upward, you are going to take the top point and fold it down to meet the center line as seen in the first picture. Now you are going to take the bottom point and fold it up to meet the top line as seen in the picture.

Step 4: Fold in Sides

In this step, you are going to take the outside edges and fold them in. You can do this by taking one side and folding it to the centerline as you can see in the picture above. Once you have done that you are going to take the other side and fold it to meet the other at the centerline.

Step 5: Round Points

As you may notice our paper is now taking on the shape of a heart. To give the heart a more rounded shape you are going to fold the pointy edges back. Above is a picture of the final product as well as a back view for reference.
