Supplies

1. Empty bowl

2. Salad mix (mixed greens, ice burg lettuce, romaine) whatever you desire, but for this, I will be using an Ice burg lettuce blend.

3. Cherry tomatoes

4. Pepperoncini peppers

5. Sliced salami

6. Pepperoni slices

7. Mozzerella cheese

(Pair with your favorite salad dressing)

Step 1: Grab a Large Bowl and Ingredients

Layout the ingredients and grab yourself a large bowl to assemble the salad in. This will make it easier for you to serve the salad without any ingredients falling out and creating a mess.

Step 2: Add Lettuce

Take the salad base of your choosing and put the contents inside the bowl.

In this case, I am using an iceberg lettuce blend that we use for the majority of our salads at Angie's Italian Restaurant.

*Feel free to use mixed greens, spinach, romaine

Step 3: Add Cherry Tomatoes

Toss in a handful of cherry tomatoes on top of the ice burg lettuce blend.

You can use and little or as much as you want.

In the picture you will see that there is only 4, this is because at Angie's we have a set amount of ingredients that go into each dish to help us maintain the low costs of meals.

Step 4: Add Salami

slice up some salami meat and lay it on top of the lettuce blend and cherry tomatoes.

You can chose to use whole round slices of salami, but at Angie's, we slice ours into strips.

Step 5: Add Pepperoni

Once you have included the salami, the next step is to slap on some hearty pepperoni slices.

These can be any kind of pepperoni slices that you would find at your local grocery store. Most of the time, they come pre-sliced into rounds and are often located by the pizza sauce and pizza dough.

Step 6: Add Pepperoncini Peppers

Almost done!

Next, we add some WHOLE pepperoncini peppers to the entire salad mixture.

*Beware that these peppers are particularly mild, but can contain a small amount of heat.

Again, use as little or as many as you would like. We use a specific amount at Angie's to keep food costs low.

Step 7: Cheese, Cheese, and MORE CHEESE

Finally, we get to the good part!

ADD CHEESE

Take a heaping handful...or two, I won't tell ;) of mozzarella cheese and sprinkle it on top of the entire salad mixture. This is our most important step at Angie's; our customers come for the cheese and continue to stay for the cheese.

WahLahh, your Angie's Antipasto Salad is complete!

Follow up with a drizzle of your favorite salad dressing and your'e ready to go! Enjoy :)
