Introduction: How to Make an Incredibly Strong Corroding Acid Mixture

Have you ever wanted to make a acid that can corrode its way through just about anything ?

Have you ever just wanted to dissolve a metal to get rid of it ?

Then this is the project for you!

WARNING THIS INSTRUCTABLE UTILIZES HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS THAT CAN HARM YOU AND THE ENVIROMENT !!!

Step 1: Getting the Required Chemicals

What you need:

1: Hydrochloric Acid (pool acid)

2: Nitric Acid.

These chemicals when mixed make a compound called Aqua Regia, the only acid tat can dissolve Gold and Platinum. But to make this pure compound you need to import Nitric Acid and to do that you need a chemical licence.

So if you dont want to do that get the following

1: Hydrochloric Acid (Any hardware store)

2: Copper Sulphate (Any pharmacy)

3: Saltpeter or potassium nitrate (Any pharmacy)

Step 2: How to Convert the Chemicals

You need to mix 15g of the Copper Sulphate into 30ml of Hydrochloric Acid. Adjust the measurements according to volume you want to make.

The solution should colour green as soon as you add the copper. Mix till all the copper is dissolved( be carefull not to inhale the fumes from the solution)

Next add 10g of Saltpeter to the green solution and mix it quickly till everything is dissolved.

Next measure 15ml of Hydrochloric Acid into a seperate container. Mix the two solutions.

The conversion is complete, but the clock is ticking. The soolution only works when it is fuming, be careful of the fumes.

This solution should dissolve or at least corrode or rust any metal even Stainless steel. The solution is very fond of copper and iron.

Step 3: What Happens During the Conversion

The Hydrochloric Acid and the Copper Sulphate react to make Hydrogen Sulphate and Copper Chloride (2HCl+CuSO4-> H2SO4+ CuCl2)

The Saltpeter and the previous solution reacts to make a weak Nitric acid and then when that is mixed with the Hydrochloric Acid it makes a very unstable and impure form of Aqua Regia.

Step 4: Perks of This Solution Over Pure Aqua Regia

This solution is time sensitive so it only corrodes for a certain amount of time unlike Aqua Regia that constantly corrodes.

It is quite a lot safer than Aqua Regia

It can be diluted and flushed down the drain

It denatures and reverts to its original chemical components

It destroys DNA and any fingerprints ( if you want to dissolve a murder weapon like a knife )

It is cheap

It is virtualy untraceable
