Make these for your friends, family, or just for yourself!

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need scissors and a sticky note, square paper, or origami paper.

Step 2: Fold the Paper Diagonally

Fold your paper corner to corner. Unfold the paper, turn it, and fold corner to corner again. Unfold it. When you're done it should look like there is an x in the middle of your paper.

Step 3: Fold the Paper Horizontally and Vertically.

Fold the top half of your paper down to the bottom, matching up your corners. Unfold, turn, and do the same. Unfold again. When you are done it should look like there is an x with a plus sign going through the middle.

Step 4: Push in the Edges

Push the flat edges into the middle. It should look like the picture above.

Step 5: Round the Corners

Take your scissors and round the bottom two corners.

Step 6: Fold the Wings

Take the top two rounded corners and fold them to the middle. It should look like there's a heart in the middle.

Step 7: Finish Your Butterfly!

Turn your butterfly upside down. Take the triangle at the bottom and fold it up in the back (do NOT crease it) so that there is a little triangle at the top of your butterfly. Fold that down on the front. Then, push your wings together. Your butterfly is finished !
