About: Helping you create great food with easy to follow step by step recipes. Check out www.kitchenmason.com for more marvelous ideas!

This gloriously indulgent prosciutto & gouda Croissant sandwich is taken to a whole new level with my game changing honey mustard glaze! Words can’t convey how ridiculously easy they are to make and yet how seriously impressive the outcome. It must be the most glorified ‘ham & cheese’ sandwich EVER but it can be made in minutes and put a smile on everyone’s face. That’s a powerful sandwich recipe to have in your arsenal!

Here is what you will need to serve 2 people.

  • 2 Large Croissants
  • 2-3 Slices of Gouda Cheese
  • 2 Large/4 Small Slices of Prosciutto
  • 1 tsp Honey Mustard
  • 3 tsp Olive Oil

Essential Equipment

  • Baking Tray
  • Pastry Brush

Step 1: Add Some Cheese...

Start by preheating your oven to 190°C/Fan 180°C.

Carefully slice your croissants in half lengthways and lay in a slice of gouda. If it’s too big, just slice it in half. Don’t worry if it pokes out a bit, it all adds to the appeal!

Step 2: Add Some Prosciutto...

Now add a slice of prosciutto on top of the cheese.

Step 3: Add More Cheese and Slap on a Glaze...

Feeling indulgent? Yeah, go on then – get another slice of cheese on there!

To make the glaze, simply mix the honey mustard and olive oil together in a pot. Then generously brush it all over each croissant. Come on , don’t be shy – slap it on!

Step 4: Turn Up the Heat!

All that’s left to do is pop them onto a baking tray and bake in the preheated over for 6 minutes until warmed through and melted.

Step 5: Tadah!

That is literally it. Didn’t I tel you it was ridiculously easy?! Make sure to eat them straight away though as no one likes cold soggy croissants. Straight out the oven, these bad boys are something to behold. They taste like heaven too!

This reminds me of the croissant sandwich that my mom and I had "invented". We started off with tuna, cheese, and butter, which was strange but tasted quite good.
Later on we tried different styles, and one of those was actually Italian ham and cheese. It's quite similar to yours and tasted amazing.
Also, we used an air fryer to toast the croissants and that made it super crispy.

Question 11 months ago on Introduction

is that honey mustard, the condiment, or honey mustard, the dressing? can I make it with just putting honey into mustard?

search for how to make mustard and try it, there are a few good sites that show how to do it, and in Italy (other places I am sure as well) they add fruits.

Now that would be a change of pace.

Hey! It’s honey mustard the condiment. Basically dijon mustard with honey. You could probably make your own but not actually done it myself. X
