About: Just an 11-year old who enjoys fishing, baking and making.

Every year, over 18,000 tons of pumpkins in the U.K alone are thrown away because of Halloween. I love to carve pumpkins and don't want to give up my habit anytime soon. Many people say that you should eat the pumpkin after Halloween, but by that time it has already been outside a few days and many people don't like pumpkin. vote for this in the Halloween challenge and without further ado, here's what to do with your old Halloween pumpkin!

Step 1: Materials

1. knife

2. old pumpkin

3. soil

4. shovel

5. seeds/transplants

Step 2: Get Started

First, cut out the stem, then cut a ring about a 1/3 of the way down your pumpkin

Step 3: Arrange

Now take out the seeds, (if you want to grow a pumpkin then you can leave in a few seeds and it will grow into a pumpkin plant!) Then, cut your ring of pumpkin into 1/4ths and lay them around the inside of your "pumpkin bowl".

Step 4: Plant

Then fill your pumpkin up with soil and put in the seeds (if you don't want to just grow a pumpkin.)

Step 5: Dig

Dig a hole that you pumpkin can fit snuggly into so that the top of the pumpkin is level to the rest of the soil.

Step 6: Let the Magic Happen!

Now just water your plant and wait for it to decompose, it is some of the best fertilizer that money can buy but the best part is that you don't even need to buy it! also, if you don't get pumpkins then you can just ask your neighbors for their pumpkins!
