    As reader I can not say that I knew all of the claims you state for health are true or not, but it sounds great. Just more reasons to eat crabs. Well as a Marylander I consider myself a Blue Crab lover. But I have to say that this was a first for me. For most people I know that cook crabs (steamed or boiled), do so in quantity and before they open the shells. It was always away for the entire family, 10 to 25 members, to slow down and talk about any and everything. Crabs served with Southern Sweet Tea, short ears of corn, small russet potatoes, and shrimp all steamed together and a side of mustard potato salad and beer for some make an event to remember! But when I have the time to spend cooking for two I will try it this way with crab (or lobster). Oh, I like crabs period! Just some are better than others. Sometimes it's the crab and sometimes it's the cook that makes the difference good or bad. Your pictures look delicious and I truly love trying different ways of cooking. Thank you for sharing. The next time I cook for the family I will take pictures to post what the process looks like for us.
