Introduction: How to Use MagicWrite to Create Batch Content in Canva

Welcome to this step-by-step guide on creating a personalized social media content batch using Canva and its latest AI simulator, MagicWrite. The purpose of this is to show you in 10 easy steps how to create a carousel on Instagram or a social media batch of content.

Let's take my business, Jailn Rolfe Co., as an example to illustrate the simplicity and efficiency of generating your own content without outsourcing. By following these steps, you'll save money that can be redirected towards achieving your business goals.

Let’s get started!

Supplies

  • Computer and or any device that has access to the internet
  • Canva Account

Step 1:

Use your preferred search engine to search for “www.canva.com” and login or sign up for a free account.

Step 2:

Login or sign up for a free account.

Step 3:

After successful login, open two new projects in Canva – one for a social media post and the other for a document. Keep these projects in separate tabs for easy navigation.

Step 4:

In the social media project, under the Design tab, specify your field/interest, for example I used, "hair tips carousel" for my cosmetology page. This choice is crucial, especially when aiming to create a batch of content across multiple pages.

Step 5:

Now open the document project and type into the page something that you would like to create content with, for example I used, “Five tips to keeping hair moisturized until your next hair appointment.

Step 6:

Select and highlight the words and click Magic Write, a submenu should pop underneath, then choose Continue Writing. There should be a loading icon that appears while the AI generates the content for you to review.

Step 7:

Now review the AI generated content and if it is suitable for your brand, continue to the next step. If not, reword the initial prompt and repeat step 6.

Step 8:

Return to the social media project tab and choose a free template design. Identify free templates by the absence of the crown symbol (Canva Pro) at the bottom.

Step 9:

Now transfer the information from the document project tab and add more pages from the chosen carousel as you continue creating your batch of content. Feel free to explore canva and its many options of free and Canva elements, text effects, fonts and more in order to customize the template to your brand and liking.

Step 10:

Final step is reviewing your design and ensuring it represents your brand in every way you see fit. Make any necessary adjustments to enhance the visual appeal and coherence of your content batch. For instance, I want to ensure my social media tag is on the first slide and that I use a real photo vs a graphic, in order to capture people’s attention.

Step 11:

You're now well on your way to becoming the social media authority your business needs. I trust you'll find these tips and tricks valuable. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if these insights prove useful in elevating your social media presence.

Best of luck on your content creation journey!
